The Northlake Police-Communications Division consists of one Communications Supervisor and a dedicated team of six full-time Telecommunicators. Their primary role is to receive information from the public related to crime or other situations that require police response and transmit that information to the field units. This highly experienced and skilled team handles all incoming emergency and non-emergency phone calls, radio dispatches, daily data entry, and lobby visitors with the utmost professionalism and care. Among their primary duties, they also assist the community with local ordinance payments after normal business hours, vehicle tow releases, provide/receive house watch forms, enter overnight parking permissions and lost/found animals, monitor: station and city cameras, severe weather alerts and prisoners, participate in community events, and handle other daily communications related duties.
Through exceptional service and commitment, the Communications team is pivotal in maintaining the safety and well-being of the Northlake community. Setting it apart from other local law enforcement agencies, the Northlake Police Communications Department exclusively serves Northlake residents and visitors, ensuring a more personalized and one-on-one customer service experience.
