Rich Grochowski, Alderman 4th Ward
I am a 70 plus year resident of Northlake having graduated from Saint John Vianney Grade School and West Leyden High School. I married my high school sweetheart and have two children and six grandchildren.
I have been involved in the community having served on the Mannheim District 83 School Board for 24 Years and have also coached for Leyden Girls Softball, Westdale Boys Baseball and was a Scoutmaster for Pack162. I am a past member of the Northlake Kiwanis Club, served as a member of the Northlake Youth commission, Northlake Emergency and Disaster Committee, and the Northlake Days Committee before it was run by the city. I currently serve as a commissioner for the Northlake Fire District and Alderman for the 4th ward.
I believe it is important to have an open door policy, and to be honest to the people we serve. Listen to their concerns. as well as look at how the decisions we make affect the people as well as the business and industry in the city.
I want to continue to see Northlake grow a strong commercial and industrial base to provide our city with a financial security that will allow us to continue up grading our infrastructure, provide a strong police force to protect our residents, and to provide the services and programs to meet the needs of our residents.
