The City of Northlake is committed to providing efficient and excellent governmental services in order to protect and enhance the quality of life of those who live, work, visit, and conduct business in our community and to provide a safe, livable and sustainable community for our current and future residents.

A Vision for Northlake:
Goals and Objectives:
- Land Use- Focus on infill and redevelopment.
- Residential- Implement Homes for a Changing Region.
- Commercial and Industrial- Attract new and improved existing commercial and industrial development.
- Transportation- Expand trails, and work with IDOT to improve traffic flow on North Avenue.
- Natural Environment- Support the park districts and maintain the city open space.
- Governance- Plan for future growth, explore educational alternatives, and work with ComEd for a resilient and robust electrical grid.

The City of Northlake Comprehensive Plan is the result of the collective efforts of many individuals, including residents and elected officials who attend public meetings.
