Special Response Team

The West Suburban Special Response Team is a multijurisdictional S.W.A.T team comprised of 7 law enforcement agencies that serve the Western suburbs of Chicago.  The team has 30 active operators that include snipers, drone operators, hostage negotiators, and other specialties.  The team responds to critical incidents such as: active shooters, hostage situations, barricaded subjects, acts of terrorism, and high-risk search warrant execution.  The Northlake Police Department has 6 active operators on the team who serve in leadership positions, snipers, drone operators, and shield operator roles.
