Evidence Technicians are responsible for obtaining, processing, and maintaining the integrity of evidence and property collected. Evidence technicians are required to have proper and detailed documentation of what is being collected, where it was collected from, and the condition it was collected. Additionally, evidence technicians are responsible for maintaining a strict chain of custody from the time of collection to the submission of the evidence. Their certifications include:
